Patricia “Patti” Ann Mann, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Generations at Neighbors in Byron, Illinois. She was born on June 15, 1938, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Ellis) Rucker. Patti married Marion Lee Mann, Jr. on August 24, 1957, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle; he preceded her in death on February 25, 2021.

A dedicated mother and homemaker, Patti found her greatest joy in a home filled with family. Her holidays and birthdays were cherished, defined by great food, laughter, and the "joyful chaos" of her children and grandchildren. A woman of deep faith, she was very involved in the St. Patrick Parish community. She was also an avid crocheter, frequently donating her work to the annual St. Patrick's Bazaar. Later in life, she served as the parish liturgist before retiring to enjoy quiet years at home with Marion. Even when she was unable to share many of her gifts due to dementia it was well known in her care facility that if you were having a bad day, "go see Patti and she'll cheer you up!"

Patti’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patti was preceded in death by five sisters: Althea "Teo" Johnson, Eileen "Leenie" Sage, Mary Ellen "Tiny" Cote, Elizabeth "Bette" Sage, and Martha Hayenga.

Patti is survived by her five children: Marcie (Michael) Florence of Leander, TX; Julie (Mel) Cater of Rochelle; Curt (Heidi) Mann of Rochelle; Jeff Mann of Rochelle; and Jill (Philip) Moore of Los Angeles, CA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Melesa Mann, Sarah Mann, Micky (Alyson) Mann, Christopher Florence, Zachary Mann, Corrin (Aaron) Brennecka, Olivia (Christopher) Escutia Rangel, Gloria Moore, Matilda Moore, Cordelia Moore, and Philip Moore Jr.; 20 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 30, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, with burial to follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
