Patrick Joel Stein, 62, passed away in his apartment Monday, July 18, 2022 in Rochelle, Illinois. Patrick was born on May 4, 1960, the son of Gorman W. and Mary A. (Pickreign) Stein in Harvard, IL. He worked at Aldo's Pizzeria and the Red Brick Pub in Rochelle for several years.

Patrick was very detailed oriented and immaculately cleaned everything. Because of his attention to detail, he was an exceptional jack-of-all-trades and excellent with landscaping and lawn care. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and riding his bike.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Mary Stein of DeKalb, IL; three brothers: Henry of White, GA, Bruce (Diane) of Selmer, TN and Paul of Eagle Point, OR; four sisters: Catherine Howle of Rochelle, Veronica (Jim) Woodstrom of Forreston, MN, Dolores Poole of Lampe, MO and Debbra (Todd) Doubler of Rochelle and many wonderful nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gorman, and great nephew, Richard "Richie" Lee Tabor, Jr.

There will be a memorial visitation from 3:00 - 3:50 P.M., Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M., Monday with Pastor Gregory Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
