Paul Jerome Henry, age 88, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on February 20, 1927 in Lee, IL, the son of Joseph W. and Gertrude L. Nealis Henry. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Paul married Mary Lou Stein on December 26, 1955 in Rochelle. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from Rockford Blacktop. He was a 1944 graduate of the Rochelle Township High School, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, St. Patrick Catholic Church, and the V.F.W. Post 3878. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother: David Henry.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Henry of Rochelle; 2 daughters: Debra (Scott) Sprague of Streamwood, IL, and Denise (Rick) Budde of New Berlin, WI; 3 grandchildren: Lauren, Zachary and Alexis Sprague; and 2 brothers: Vernon Henry of Lindenhurst, IL, and Francis Henry of Stillman Valley, IL.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on June 5, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle. Visitation will be 4 - 7 pm on Thursday, June 4 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, with a Moose Service at 7:00 pm. Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Eastern-Lee Ogle Honor Guard. Memorials to the V.F.W. Post 3878 or the Rochelle Moose Lodge.
