Paul E. Simmons, age 72 of Davis Junction died on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born on August 11, 1937 in Rochelle, IL, the son of Charles A. and Emma C. Johnson Simmons. Paul married Patricia Carol Walker on August 31, 1958 in Ambury Massachusetts. He served in the U.S. Airforce. Paul worked for Ambassador Steel as a Truck Driver prior to retiring 7 years ago. He was a Cub Master, Webelos Leader and active in the Kirkland Little League. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 6 year old sister: Sylvia Simmons.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Rev. Brett Todd officiating. Visitation will be also on Wednesday from 10 - 11:00 AM prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
Military services are being provided by the V.F.W. Post 3878
Cremation rites will follow services.
