P.D. Russell 84 of Rochelle died Friday June 5th at Rochelle Rehab and Health Care Center. He was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Pontotoc, Mississippi the son of Edd and Gillie M. Elliott Russell. Married March 30, 1946 in Rochelle to Daisy A. Koch.
Preceded by 2 brothers Holder and Ruey and 4 sisters Agnes Ballard, Odelle Smith, Blanche Caldwell and Laura Cox. Son-in-law Raymond Rains and Grandson Mark Rains.

P. D. worked for Del Monte 110 in Rochelle retiring in 1973 after 38 years. He was a member of Rochelle United Methodist Church, Rochelle Moose Lodge for 48 years and served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was hard working and a devoted husband to his wife and five children.

Survived by his wife Daisy of Rochelle, 1 son Brian (Rhonda) Russell of Rochelle, 4 daughters Genevieve Rains of Ashton, June (Robert) Leprich of Wauconda, IL, Connie (William) Curths of Carpentersville, IL and Debbie Russell of Brenham, TX 1 brother James (Jewel) Russell of Rochelle, IL and a sister Eddie Mae (Roy) Cardott of Rochelle.
11 grandchildren Alexis and Cassidy Russell, Megan (Jeff) Aiken, Dale (Tonja) Rains, Russell Rains, Dawn (Bob) Pittman, Korrena (Woody) Sutton, Lisa (Mike) Johnson, Michelle (Josh) Lamb and Natalie Palmer. 10 Great grand children Joe Rains, Corissa (Mike) Wallace, Mandy, Missy and Nick Pittman, Heather, Josh & Haley Sutton, Lindsey Cooper and Allyssa Rains. Great-Great grandchildren Jayden, Dalton, Shealin, Kegan and Noah.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 9th at United Methodist Church of Rochelle with Pastor Brett Todd officiating. Visitation will be Monday 4 to 7 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
Burial in Lawnridge cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorials have been established to United Methodist Church and Hub City Senior Center.
