Peggy Joyce Mayberry, 94, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Franklin Grove Rehab & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin Grove, Illinois.

Peggy was born on February 12, 1932, in Herrick, Illinois, the daughter of Basil and Ida (Duvall) Beck.

She married Victor Mayberry on July 31, 1948, in Rochelle, Illinois. They shared many years of marriage until Victor’s passing on April 8, 2005.

Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Victor Mayberry of Rochelle, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Mayberry; her parents, Basil and Ida Beck; her brothers, Basil (Evelyn) Beck, Robert (Ann) Beck, George (Margaret) Beck, Gordon (Marty) Beck, Elvis Beck, Roscoe Beck, Leon Beck, and John Beck; and her sisters, Mary Bergeson, Patricia (Jack) McCann, and Beulah McAdams.

Peggy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strength, and the many memories she created with those she loved.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Rochelle, Illinois.
