Peggy M. Zies, 78 of Batavia, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL. She was born on Jan. 8, 1932 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Brady) Eckhardt. Peggy married Eugene Frank Zies on Sept. 17, 1949 in Oregon, IL and he preceded her on Nov. 25, 2009. She was also preceded by daughter: Barbara Dillenburg on Feb. 6, 2009, son: Jeffery "Chip" Zies on Feb. 23, 2008 and granddaughter: Jamie Lynn Dillenburg; brothers:
Don and Steve Eckhardt and sisters: Barb Titzel and Neva Tyler. Prior to retiring, Peggy was
an administrative assistant for American National Can Co.

Survivors include 2 sons: Randy (Sara) Zies of Batavia and Todd (Nancy) Zies of North Aurora;
son-in-law: Jim Dillenburg of Batavia and daughter-in-law: Sally Zies of Aurora; 9 grandchildren: Tim, Amy, Ryan, Emily, Bailey, and Kennedy Zies, Julie (Ron) Stoll, and P.J. and Mike Dillenburg; 2 great grandchildren: Ashley and Nicholas Stoll

Services at First Baptist Church in Rochelle with Rev. Doug Cowan, on Saturday, March 6, 2010
at 11:30 . Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 10 to 11:15 AM. A luncheon
will follow the graveside services at the Church. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorials to First Baptist Church.
