Randy Reed Rowley, age 49, of Rochelle was called home early July 4, 2007 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was at home with his family when the Lord called him home. Randy was born Sept. 29, 1957 in Rochelle, IL the Son of Elmer R. and Arlene (Reed) Rowley. Randy Graduated from RTHS in 1975 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. He married Lois J. Kessen May 10, 1980 in Rochelle. Randy was self employed as a farmer in the Rochelle area and also a Realtor for Century 21 in Oregon.

Survivors include his Mother: Arlene Vanderpool of Franklin Grove, IL; Father and Stepmother: Elmer and Marilyn Rowley; Wife: Lois Rowley of Rochelle, IL; Son: Anthony (Toni) Rowley Second Lieutenant USMC stationed in North Carolina; Two Daughters: Casondra Rowley of Oregon, IL, and Amberlyn Rowley of Rochelle; Three Sisters: Connie (Rich) Rosas of Rochelle, Bonnie (Brian) Smith of Jonesboro, AR, and Rebecca Rowley of Rochelle.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. on Sat. July 7, 2007 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle with pastors: Mark Nordman, and Steve Woita Officiating. A visitation will be held on Fri. July 6, 2007 from 5-8 P.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Internment will be at the Cooley Cemetery in Pine Rock Twp.

A memorial has been established to the St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.
