Rao Marie Warning, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, Illinois.

Rao was born November 19, 1933 in Lynnville Township, Ogle County to Clyde and Rose (Hintzsche) Schaneberg. She married Gene Warning on June 19, 1951. She loved knitting, crocheting, bowling and playing games. Rao was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, on February 21, 1999, her parents, three brothers: Bob, Leroy and Denny and two sisters: Louise and Dola.

Rao is survived by three sons: Fred (Terri) Warning of Rochelle, Olie (Carol) Warning of Rochelle, Joe (Carrie) Warning of Rochelle; daughter, Dawn Wyatt of Rochelle; two brothers: Bill (Opal) Schaneberg of Franklin Grove, Tim (Jill) Schaneberg of Euless, Texas; two sisters: Bunny White of Rochelle and Shirley Webb of Ashton; 11 grandchildren: Gene (Kris) Warning, Sherry Warning, Mike (Jennifer) Van Hise, Amy Van Hise, Lisa (Jeff) Froman, Jennifer (Kristine) Warning-Aquisap, Kelly (Shawn) Standfast, Kara (Tony Kettleson) Wyatt, Juliana and Joana Palermo, Rao Warning, Brian Schaneberg, Jodie (Claudio) Ramos; 10 great grandchildren: Brandon and Sydney Warning, Trey Knapp, Owen Angel, Zander and Mason Froman, Asher Warning-Aquisap, Ainsley Standfast, Isaac and Anniston Ramos; companion, Dave Kasmar, Sr., and caregiver, Kay McGrath.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at San Gabriel, Bethany Rehab. and Serenity Hospice and Home.

The visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home. Burial will be at a later date.
