Obituary
Rayburn C. Holt, 83 of Rochelle, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at P.A. Peterson
in Rockford, IL. He was born on Nov. 8, 1928 in Cross Co., AR to Ernest P. and Lydia
(Williams) Holt. Raymond married Bessie Louida Patterson on June 7, 1947 in Vandale, AR.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by the Byron Nuclear Plant. Preceding him in death
were his parents; brothers: Henry, Thurman "T.L." , Clyde, Ernie Wayne, and infant brother: Herbert David and a sister: Evelyn.
The family would like thank Peggy Holt, Administrator of P.A. Peterson, and her entire
staff for their love and dedication to the care of our loved one.
Survivors include his wife: Bessie of Rochelle; son: James (Debra) Holt of Pledger, TX;
daughters: Pat Smith of Rochelle and Shirley Terry of Rochelle; 6 grandchildren: Jason Smith,
Stephanie Terry, Clint Garner, Dee Ann Lechner, Christopher Holt and Teresa Rod; 6 great grandchildren: Austin Lechner, Hannah Lechner, Jake Rod, Jesse Rod, Jasmine Schabacker, and Lauren Garner; 1 great great grandchild: Nichole Schabacker.
Services at Unger-Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Lechner on Wednesday Feb. 8, 2012 at
10:30 AM. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Unger-Horner. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens. A memorial has been established.
