Rochelle

Raymond E. Rippy, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his home in Rochelle. Ray was born on May 16, 1939 to Dwight and Evelyn (Ramsey) Rippy in Rochelle. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War. On December 28, 1977, he married Kayla Kersten Kenney in Oregon, IL. Ray managed Werner Auto Parts in Rochelle for many years. One of his favorite past times was sitting on the front of his houseboat watching all the action on the Mississippi River go by.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kayla; four children: David (Lynn) Rippy of Sherman Oaks, CA, Allan (Julie) Rippy of Arkansas, Krista Belt of Rochelle and Dr. Karla (Dr. Michael) Scanlon of Columbia, CT; nine grandchildren: Lucy, Cole, Alana, Tim, Presleigh, T.J., Kersten, Kaitlyn and Jacob.
