Raymond Shook 85 of Rochelle died Friday Aug. 18, 2006 at Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1921 the son of Nathan and Rebecca Wright Shook. Sixty years ago he married Lillian Emma Nicholson on May 31, 1946 in Rochelle, IL
Preceded by 6 brothers Nathan, Robert, Perry, Delmar, Chester and Amos. 1 sister Mary Erickson.

Ray recently celebrated his 55 year membership with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 23. During his retirement Ray and Lil spent winters in Donna, TX. Ray's hobbies included woodcarving, playing cards and his favorite pastime, fishing for catfish. He has a favorite fishing spot at Skare Park where a memorial bench will be place in his honor.
He and Lillian ran Shook's Kitchen a restaurant in Rochelle in the early 1970's.

9 Grandchildren Jill (Dave) Smith, Jack, Jenny (Jeremiah) Foltz, Donny Shook, Mike (Stephanie) Spencer, Ryan Shook, Lisa (Scott) Nedved, Brandon Shook and Brett Spencer.
7 Great-grandchildren Nathan Smith, Nick, Kylie and Kenzie Shook, Chloe Foltz, Josanne Smith and Adrianna Spencer.
Many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Tuesday Aug. 22nd at Unger-Horner Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with visitation Monday from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
