Renèe Holder, 54, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Rockford, Illinois. Renèe was born June 19, 1962 to Robert and Earline (Banner) Smith in Joliet, Illinois. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and listening to country music. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Renèe is survived by her two sons: Hithum (Lindsey) Faroun of Machesney Park, IL and Troy (Codie Miragila) Holder of Rochelle; four brothers: Dale (Cynthia) Smith of Clinton, WI, Dean (Carol) Smith of Grandview, IN, Preston (Peni) Smith of Rockford, IL and Mark Smith of Foreston, IL; her sister, Janet (Randy) Johnson of Versailles, MO; granddaughter, Myah Faroun, "Grandma's Little Peanut". Troy and Codie are expecting Renée's second grandchild later this year.

The visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will be at 10:30, Monday, February 27 at the funeral home with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
