Richard H. Bachman, age 89, of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, Illinois. He was born April 13, 1925 in Clinton , Iowa to Vincent and Mabel (Kerr) Bachman. He married Lois E. Nielsen on February 25, 1955 in Clinton, IA. He was a printer for Rochelle Printing and for Kishwaukee College. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton, IA. Lois preceded him in death on May 15, 2005.
Richard is survived by two sons: David Bachman of Ely, MN and James Bachman of Loves Park, IL; two grandchildren: Matthew (Jamie) Cater and Keri Johnson and three great grandchildren: Tyler Teske and Marcus and Nadezda Cater.
A family graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Comanche, Iowa. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
