Leaf River

Rick Lee Rucker, 58, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Rick was born on June 10, 1963 to Phil and Sharon (Knox) Rucker in Dixon, IL. On October 4, 1996, he married Theresa Renee Fenton in Oregon, IL. He was an over-the-road owner operator truck driver for over 30 years.

Rick was very involved with his boys and the sports they played while growing up. He coached football, baseball and wrestling. He was the coordinator for N.I.Y.T.F., a youth football league in Sterling, IL. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching drag racing. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

Rick is survived by his wife, Theresa of Leaf River, IL; four sons: Anthony and Cory of Breaux Bridge, LA and Curtis and Andrew (Katlynn Palmer) of Leaf River; his parents, Phil and Sharon Rucker of Lake City, FL; sister, Lori (Randy) Senn of Dixon, IL and two grandchildren: Lillianna and Alexander Rucker.

There will be a graveside service at a later date. Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dixon, IL. Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
