Robert L. Kempton, Sr., 74, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Rock Falls, Illinois.
Robert was born June 14, 1941 to Maurice and Violet (Schofield) Kempton in Sycamore, IL.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and worked for Swift for many years. He is preceded
in death by his parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers, son, Robert "Bobby" Kempton, Jr. and grand-
daughter, Ashley Marie Kempton.


Robert is survived by three daughters: Robin (Heath DuSavage) Ratliff of Byron, IL,
Rebecca Schultz of Rock Falls, IL, and Robbie (Jeff) Wright of Pickens, SC; five sisters:
Barb Byrd of Sycamore, IL, Bonnie Wright of Chicago, IL, Rose Biba of LaSalle, IL, Sue
Verly of Ottawa, IL, Nancy Fribbs of Morris, IL; one brother: Maurice Kempton Jr. of Sycamore, IL; nine grandchildren: Kristina Stover of
Rochelle, IL, Nathan Stevens of Aurora, IL, Christopher Stevens of Dixon, IL, Tabitha
Farley of Sterling, IL, Kyle Schultz of Sterling, IL, Edward Schultz of Rock Falls, IL, Alyssa
Schultz of Rock Falls, IL, Justin Wright of Pickens, SC, Jacob Wright of Pickens, SC and
ten great grandchildren.


Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 23, 2015 at Trinity Memory
Gardens in Rochelle with Pastor Dave Rogula officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded
