Robert Lynn Swanson, 76 of Rockford, passed away Jan. 25, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore IL. Bob was born in Morrison, IL Oct. 20, 1936 the son of Matthew and Sylvia (Dyson) Swanson. He served in the US Army for 2 years. Bob married Jacquelynn Mercer May 18, 1968 in Holcomb, IL. He owned and operated Lawn Mower Service Center in Rockford, IL for 50 years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. He was 1 of 11 children.

Survivors include his wife Jackie of Rockford; 3 sons: Matthew (Richelle) Swanson of Machesney Park, IL, Douglas (Michelle) Swanson of Rockford and Michael (Heather) Swanson of Rockford; 6 grandchildren: Marie, Ashley, Matthew, Bradley, Austin and Brodey Swanson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Wed. Jan. 30, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle, IL. Visitation will be Tues. Jan. 29, 5 from 5-7 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Memorial to be established. Burial will be at Whiterock Cemetery in Kings IL.
