Robert Lee Winton Jr, 53, Godly husband and father of Rochelle, passed away at OSF Hospital in Rockford, IL, Dec. 1, 2010, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on June 3, 1957 in Lafayette, NC, to Robert Lee and Kathryn Ann (Berry) Winton. Robert married Blanca Amelia Sorto on Jan. 10, 1991 in Elgin, IL. Robert "Bob" Winton was a man of God. He was a Godly husband, a Godly father, incredible son, and a friend to all. His big hugs expressed his unconditional love as modeled by his Savior, Jesus Christ. He lived each day eagerly, anticipating going home to Heaven where he is now. His life was a living testimony of a man sold out to Christ. In his death, Bob was a servant of the Lord , attempting to give aid at the time of his accident. We know the Lord welcomed him with open arms, and has told him, "Well done, good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of the Lord."
Robert was a Pastor with Hand in Hand and also a steel worker for Ball Corp. in Elgin, IL. Along with his wife, Blanca, they started Hand in Hand in Elgin in 1999. In 2003, they started Hand in Hand in Rochelle after moving there in 2002. He was preceded in death by his father Robert.

Survivors include his wife: Blanca of Rochelle; sons: Manfredo (Tayler) Winton of Rochelle and
Robert (Diana) Winton III of Elgin, IL; mother and stepfather: Michael and Kathryn Bukovac
of Thornton, IL; sisters: Linda Ann Bishop of Homosassa, FL and Lisa Jane Winton of Thornton, IL; 1 grandchild: Isabella Winton.

Services will be held on Wed., Dec. 8, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church 1100 Calvin Road in Rochelle, IL at 10:30 AM with Rev. Margaret Alarcon officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 to 10:15 AM on Wed. at the church prior to the funeral. Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N, 6th St. in Rochelle on Tuesday, Dec. 7th from 4 to 7 PM. Family
requests memorials to Hand in Hand. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
