Rogene Emma Koch, age 85, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Rochelle Community Hospital with her family at her side . She was born January 20, 1938 in Lee County, the daughter of Esper L. and Beulah (Huffman) Diehl.  She married Richard Earl Koch Sr. on March 17, 1957 at her family's farmhouse in Oregon, IL, he preceded her on June 30, 2018.  Also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Ralph and Darell Diehl.

Rogene did everything with her husband.  She was a master at crocheting and at making afghans, but also enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens.  Everyone knew that Rogene kept a clean home and she was proud of that.  She farmed, 4-wheeled, drove the John Deer Gator, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her four children: Richard Jr. (Carol) Koch, Douglas (Candy) Koch, Donna (Edward) Weiler, and Daniel (Nadine) Koch all of Rochelle; 7 grandchildren: Hannah (Gene) Hodges, Dustin Koch, Andrea (Bryan) Borell, Ethan (Melanie) Koch, Garrett (Kelsey) Koch, Cody (Michael) Rose, and Genese (Bill) Rose; 12 great grandchildren; brother: Roger Diehl of Springfield, IL, and sister, Maxine Strohecker of Oregon.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., with Rev. Duane Boehm officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday from 9 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral.  Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens.  A memorial has been established.  Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com
