Ron Knight, 45, of Davis Junction, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015. Born September 15, 1969 in Rockford, the son of Ronald and Barbara (McCaslin) Knight. Ron graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1987. Ron proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987-1992 and a combat veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Ron was united in marriage to Donna Schroeder January 29, 1992 in La Jolla, CA. He worked as an agriculture equipment sales rep for Hutchinson/Mayrath and for the past nine years, Ron worked as a production supervisor for Rochelle Foods, Inc. Ron was a loyal, active member of Leathernecks MC, Dogs of War Chapter.

Ron was the loving husband of Donna Knight and proud father of Matthew and Zachary Knight; beloved son of Barbara (Jerry) Hanson; and dear son-in-law of Fran Schroeder.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ron Knight Sr., and his father-in-law, Bill Schroeder.

Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Crossroads Community Church, 3301 IL 251, Rochelle. A funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. at the church with Pastor Jeff Fathauer officiating. Interment will follow in Big Mound Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
