Ronald "Uncle Ronnie" R. Cagle, 69, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at his home in Rochelle. Ronnie was born on January 10, 1950 to William and Mary (Bounds) Cagle in Wynne, Arkansas. At the age of 17, he moved to Illinois to work for Rockford Blacktop Construction, where he was for many years.

Ronnie is survived by two sons: Ronald Cagle Jr. and Travis Cagle; two sisters: Mary Williams and Martha Harrison; brother, Larry Cagle and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by seven brothers: William Lee Earl, Willie "Sonny" Jr., Johnny, Roger, Bobby, Paul and James "Bruce" Cagle and five sisters: Mildred Ann Cagle, Georgia McCoy Walker, Marie Stevens, Betty Stogsville and Jewel Russell.

For the last six months of Ronnie's life, it was Uncle Ronnie, Ron and Jeanne Jamason and Tracy McBee against the world. On that Tuesday, the good Lord called him home while he was peacefully asleep at home, right where he wanted to be. Rest in paradise Uncle Ronnie, missed but never forgotten.
