Ruth J. Eich, 94, of Sturgeon Bay, WI formerly of Rochelle, IL passed away on March 1, 2010 in Sturgeon Bay. She was born on Dec. 25, 1915 in Wayne County, IL to John and Nova Jenkins. She married Willis C. Eich on Dec. 29, 1934 in Woodstock, IL. They moved many times during their married life of 62 years. Starting in Rochelle, IL and when Bill retired returning to Rochelle in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Kay (Ralph) Herlache, Sturgeon Bay, WI and Janette Lee Carroll, West Des Moines, IA; seven grandchildren, Carl, Craig, and Curt Johnson, Julie (Paul) Halgren, Garren (Holly) Carroll, Ryan (Susan) Carroll, and Jennifer Hulbert; step-granddaughters, Sarah (Mike) Herlache and Peggy (Eric) Herlache; nine great-grandchildren, Carl (Jeep) Alex, Kristen, Emily, Grant, Andrew, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Jack, and Nyah; one step-great-grandchild, Katie; two sisters, Frieda (Doran) Grennan, Oregon, IL and Bette (Vernon) Henry, Lindhurst, IL; plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis, Sept. 3, 1997, a brother, Everette Jenkins, a sister, Helen Jenkins, and great-grandchild, Cody Robert Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rochelle, IL with the Rev. Greg Hoffman officiating. Visitation is on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
