Ruth A. Pest, age 100, passed away on March 21, 2020 at the Neighbors Nursing Center in Byron. She was born on January 14, 1920 in Chicago, IL
the daughter of Walter and Anna (Kosbab) Lipske. She married James Pest on July 10, 1937 in Crown Point IN, he preceded her on June 8, 1993.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Melvin Lipske and sister, Esther Gitteson.
She was an expert seamstress, and enjoyed dancing, painting, puzzles, playing games, especially scrabble and spending time with her family.
Survived by her 5 Children: David (Paula) Pest of Rochelle, Ruthann Pest of Loves Park, Janice (Eugene) Cook of Rochelle, Marsha (Stephen) Lochrie of Baxter, TN, and Nadine (Craig) Strawbridge of Monroe, TN; 8 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
