Ruth E. Vanderpool, 90, of Holcomb, passed away on Wed. Dec. 16, 2009 at her home.She was born on May 13, 1919 in Kings, IL, the daughter of Richard Emery and Mabel
Jane (Onley) Hayes. Ruth was a life long member of Kings Presbyterian Church and then attended First Presbyterian Church of Rochelle. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, traveling.
love of music and her children and grandchildren. Preceding her in death were 2 daughters, an infant: Jackie and Glenda (Don) Cultra; brother: Howard Hayes; Sisters: Harriet Alberts and Dorothy Scherer; and grandson: Timothy Capes.

Services at 1st Presbyterian Church in Rochelle on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton. Visitation will be at the church from 9 to 10:30 prior to the service on Saturday. Burial at White Rock Cemetery in Kings, IL. Family requests memorials to Ogle County Hospice.
