Sally Kay Bubik, 73, of Rochelle, died on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Rochelle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born July 24, 1939 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Ruby (Huffman) Mack. On September 3, 1960 Sally married Don Bubik in Danville. She taught second grade at Bradley Elementary School. Sally was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church, the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Rochelle Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking short trips. Sally was blessed to have so many close friends who were there for her through the difficult times.

Sally was preceded by her husband, Don, on September 5, 2012 and her sister, Sue Phelps. Survivors include her son, David, of Creston, IL; daughter, Susan Bubik, of Rockford, IL; sister, Juliane (John) Wallis, of Hiltonhead, SC and three grandchildren: Kyle, Mary and Emily Hansen.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Rochelle United Methodist Church. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the service. Memorials to Serenity Home and Hospice and the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
