Salvador Castro Huéramo, 71, passed away May 25, 2022, in Rochelle. Salvador was born December 3, 1950, to Santos and Sebastiana (Castro) Huéramo in Michoacan, Mexico. He married Altagracia (Nava) Huéramo in July 1972. He and his wife migrated to Rochelle in the late 70's.

Salvador was a former employee of Caron's International, following PBM Concrete where he then retired from Monsanto Co. He was one to be intrigued in the story of whoever crossed his path. He was a very social, soft-hearted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, loved by many. He enjoyed exercising, playing baseball, the Coyotes team (early 90's), hiking different trails, enjoying the outside scenery and loved attending rodeos. It has always been a priority of his to visit back home spending time with family, he was a proud "Sangui" native.

Salvador is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Santos and Sebastiana Huéramo and brothers: Jose and Romeo Hueramo Castro.

He is survived by his wife, Altagracia Huéramo and five children: Maria (Demetrio) Fulgencio, Liliana (Cesar) Belmonte, David (Jessica) Huéramo, Rose (Roberto) Huéramo and John Huéramo; three brothers: Rogelio (Honorina) Hueramo, Cirenio (Evelia) Hueramo, Amparo Hueramo and one sister Feligonia (Raul) Milan all of Rochelle; 12 grandchildren, Lillian, Johan, Mateo, Ivan, Daniela, Aaliyah, Maddox, Isadora, Bianca, Natalia, Pinito and "Baby" Sal.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday May 27, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelly Dr, Rochelle. The visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Burial is at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to the family.
