Sandra K. Meadows, age 72, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Alleta "Butler" Priest and was a 1968 graduate of Manila High School. Following high school, Sandra received a Bachelor of Science in Education with an endorsement for Special Education from Arkansas State University in 1972. Later that year, she married her husband, Richard, on December 26, 1972. Sandra taught in the Manila Public School System before she and Richard moved to northern Illinois where they lived for over 30 years. She had been a Jonesboro resident for the past 16 years. Sandra was an avid reader, homemaker, beloved mother and grandmother, and devoted wife. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Shawna Meadows. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Richard Meadows of Jonesboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Heath Hendren of Springfield, Illinois; two granddaughters; Harper Hendren and Haddie Hendren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville, AR with Rev. Jason Sutfin officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 until service time at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville AR. Burial will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 at the Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle, Illinois with Pastor Doug Forsberg officiating.
