Sarah Y. Bauer, 87, of Compton, IL passed away September 7, 2013 in Rochelle.
Sarah was born October 26, 1925 in Finksburg, Maryland, the daughter of Sally Ann (Knouse) and Percy Barnes. She married Charles Bauer on December 27, 1943 in Westminster, Maryland.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Bauer, of Rochelle, granddaughter, Lisa (Hal) Cox, of Cherry Valley, IL, son-in-law, Robert Richman, of Rochelle and sister, Doris Taylor, of Baltimore, Maryland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bauer, and daughter, Alice Faye Richman.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle with Father Juan Ayala celebrant. The visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
