Shirley V.Duckett, 104, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at River Crossing of Rockford, Rockford, IL. Shirley was born on August 31, 1917 on a farm in Millington, IL to Ole and Bessie Brown.

She worked many years as a wage and cost accountant at Lyon Metal in Aurora, IL. Later, she got her beautician license and opened a beauty shop in Yorkville, IL. At this time, she also received her real estate license.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Donna Arne of Rockford, IL; grandchildren: Anne Arne of Rochelle, IL and Aaron (Jennifer) Arne of Pinedale, Wyoming; and great grandchildren: Janae and Bryn Arne of Pinedale, Wyoming.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Sjostrand; sons: Ronald Sjostrand and infant son, James Sjostrand; husband, LeRoy Duckett; three brothers and one sister.
