Shirley M. Sheridan, 80, of Palatine, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at her home.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1931 in Joliet, IL to George and Mary (Brachle) Pierce.
Married to Lester Del Hotal of Temecula CA and Robert Sheridan (deceased).
Preceded by her parents and 2 sisters: Georgeann Stone and Margaret (Robert) Miller.

Shirley moved to the Palatine IL area in 1969. She enjoyed a career of customer service speaking with people from all over the United States. The love of her life was her two Siamese cats Susie and Maggie. They were her entertainment and devotion. Her first two great grandsons, Johnny and Jake gave her hours of pleasure watching them grow up.

Shirley will be remembered for her independence and strong will.

Survivors include her daughters: Deborah (John) Zachara, and Lori (Michael) Johnson; 3 siblings: Charlotte (Robert) Bresson, Julie (Larry) Wing, and Gilbert Pierce;
8 grandchildren: John (Jodi) Zachara, Elizabeth Zachara, Emily (Eric) Jones, Jennifer (David) Czarnecki, Patrick (Meghan Riley) Johnson, Katherine Zachara, Paul Zachara, and Courtney Johnson; 2 great grandchildren: John and Jacob Zachara; 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour before the service.
