Stanley John Valiulis, 78, of Rochelle, passed away May 23, 2012 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford IL. Stan was born Aug. 29, 1933 the son of Stanley B. and Julia Valiulis in Rockford, IL. He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1951 and from Marquette University in 1957. Stan married Shirley Frahm Apr. 23, 1994 in Paynes Point, IL. As a father of 9 children, 2 stepchildren, 16 grand children and 2 great grand children, Stan was blessed with the love the children had for him as a father. Stan worked hard to provide for his children and he will always be remembered as a generous and giving man. Stan enjoyed golf, photography, gadgets and the occasional bet on the long-shot. He was always generous with his friends, vendors and employees - God gave Stan great love and abundance and Stan showed his love for God with his generosity.

Stan was predeceased by his parents; sister: Mary Margaret Naretta; daughter: Joan Valiulis; son: Daniel Valiulis.

Stan is survived by: His wife Shirley Frahm; Sons: Stanley (Carrie) Valiulis of Rockford, IL, Peter Valiulis of Rockford, Carl (Sonja) Valiulis of Rockford, Thomas (Lisa) Valiulis of Rockford and Mark (Peggy) Frahm of Oswego, IL; Daughters: Julie, Karla, Mary Valiulis of Minnesota and Tammy (Tony) Schopp of Ashton IL; Grand Children: Stanley, Lindsey, Emily, Erik, Anthony, Grace, Sophia and Isabelle Valiulis, Randa, Amanda and Kyle Schopp, Jordan and Nicolaus Frahm, Richard, John and Clayton Bakosh; Great Grand Children: Parker Danielson and Jacob Schopp.

Funeral service will be Sat. May 26, 2012, 10:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle officiated by Rev. Steve Dow. Visitation will be Friday May 25, from 5-7 PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL. Burial at the Paynes Point Cemetery. Memorials are to be established.
