Stanley “Chet” Vrana, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, with his family at his side. He was born on February 5, 1934 in Ladysmith, WI, the son of Frank and Rose (Cejka) Vrana. Chet was raised on a dairy farm in Cobly, WI. Stan married Grethe “Greta” Jacobsen at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for 38 years. Stan had many talents: farmer, carpenter, accountant and loved bowling, fishing gardening, swimming and hunting with his loyal dog, Nick. He loved and was known for wearing his colorful hats. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, George (Donna) Vrana.

Survived by his wife, Grethe, son, Tom (Janet) Vrana Sr.; daughter, Susan Vrana; 2 grandchildren: Tom Vrana Jr., and Melody (T.J. Bialas) Flanigan, 2 great granddaughters: Madisyn and Myranda Wilbur; 2 nephews: Mike and Chuck Vrana.
