Susan F. Young, 69, of Ashton, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born February 5, 1954, in Rochelle, the daughter of Robert E. and Frances (Naylor) Young.

Susan grew up in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University. She held various interesting jobs throughout her career. Susan was once featured in the Who's Who of American Women. She loved animals and kept cattle, horses, and dogs on her farm. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting numerous countries throughout her life. She was a devoted daughter and sister who loved her family.

Susan is survived by her sister, Sally Young; her two beloved dogs, Iris and Ziggy; and numerous special friends.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances Young; and a brother, Clyde Robert Young.
