Tammy Lynn Yanuzzi, née Bartlett, was born October 29, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away peacefully at her home in Rochelle, Illinois, on August 18, 2026.

Tammy was truly one of a kind. She was full of life, and loved music, laughter, and spending time with the people she loved. She loved to talk and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

Tammy had an incredibly kind and giving heart. She would help anyone she could and loved taking care of the people around her. One of the ways Tammy showed her love was through little acts of kindness. She was always giving someone a small gift just to brighten their day—even if it was simply a bag filled with snacks and candy. It wasn't about what she gave; it was about letting people know she was thinking of them and that they mattered to her.

She made friends wherever she went, and many described her as one of the most caring, kind, and loving souls they had ever met. She cared deeply for others and touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life.

Early in life, Tammy was involved in a serious car accident that left her living with considerable pain. She later faced many additional health challenges, but she continued to fight through them with incredible strength and courage. He faith carried her through the toughest times. She rarely complained and never allowed her struggles to take away her love for life or for others.

She was a true soldier.

Tammy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had recently found out that her granddaughter, Mandi, was expecting a baby, and she was incredibly happy and excited to know that she was going to become a great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Yanuzzi, Stephanie Yanuzzi, and Richard Yanuzzi; and her beloved grandchildren, Landon, Brooke, Nicholas, Nicole, Mandi, Journey, and Hayden.

She is also survived by her sister, Dianne Sellergren, and her twin brother, Timothy (Barbara) Bartlett.

Tammy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Linda) Bartlett, and her parents, Robert W. Bartlett and Sandra Mae Bartlett.

Tammy will be remembered for her laughter, her strength, her generosity, and the countless little ways she made people feel loved. She had a larger-than-life spirit and a heart that always seemed to have room for one more person. Her body carried pain for many years, but her heart continued to carry love.

Mom, we will miss your laughter, your voice, your loving heart, and all the little things you did to make the people around you feel special. We will carry your love and kindness with us and keep your memory alive in the way we care for one another.

We love you, Mom. Until we meet again.
