Ted R. Everest, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2016 in Rochelle. Ted was born October 9, 1935 in Boyne City, Michigan, the son of Theodore and Leona (Smith) Everest. He married Lou Rene Holloway on December 17, 1977 in Rochelle. Ted retired from Avery Dennison in 1997. He attended Faith Lutheran Church and was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge. Ted enjoyed woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clarence "Butch".

Ted is survived by five daughters: Elaine (Mike) Chen, Debbie Everest, Gloria Everest, Beth Everest all of Wisconsin and Cindy Scarpelli of Illinois; two sisters: Nancy (Richard) Blume of Florida and Gloria Patterson of Texas; 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. A Masonic service will begin at 11:00 with a funeral service immediately following; Pastor Joy Alsop will be officiating. Cremation rites will follow the service.
