Thomas J. Burgess, 62, of Rochelle passed away on April 7, 2015. He was born June 1, 1952 in Dixon, IL, the son of Hubert and Helen (Walker) Burgess. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Lynn Bondan on May 23, 1987. She preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2009. He is also preceded in death by his father, Hubert. Tom worked for the Illinois Tollway. He loved to build radio controlled planes and enjoyed flying them even more.

He is survived by his son Tyler (Misty) Burgess of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Reed and Emmalynn Burgess; his mother, Helen Burgess; a brother, Mike Burgess, and a sister, Paula Thompson.

The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:45 A.M., Friday, before the service. Entombment will follow in Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Online guest book at www.UngerHorner.com.
