Thomas Dummer, age 62, of Rochelle, Illinois, passed away on April 29, 2026, at Swedish American Hospital. He was born July 28, 1963, in Rochelle, Illinois, the son of Leroy and Jackie (Thompson) Dummer.

Over the years, Tom was employed at Del Monte Foods and Rochelle Township High School. He later worked for over 20 years at Silgan in Rochelle, where he retired from. In his free time, Tom enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, especially his favorite Road King Classic 100th Anniversary motorcycle. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, where he favored Ultimate Hold’em and Three Card Poker. Above all, Tom cherished time spent enjoying his children and grandchildren and participating in sports and school events. He had a fond appreciation for Budweiser beer and took great pride in collecting Budweiser memorabilia. Some of his most memorable moments were spent on family trips, including visits to the Wisconsin Dells and enjoying hill-climbing events.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Dummer, and one brother, Steve Dummer.

He is survived by his mother, Jackie Dummer of Rochelle; two sons, Cameron (Christina) Dummer of Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Trace Dummer of West Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Randy (Sarah) Dummer of Davis Junction, Illinois; one sister, Beth (Allan) Kvool of Ashton, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews including, special nephew, Steve (Dani Kramer) Dummer Jr. of Rochelle; special niece, Amanda (Matt Leal) Dummer of Rock Falls, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Bennett, Mackenzie, and Elliot Dummer; great nieces and nephews: Caiden, Madison, Landyn, Parker, Tucker, Dalanie and Hailey.
