Tom was born on July 12, 1944 in Kings, IL and was preceded in death by his parents, Norma G. (Lewis) Hill and Clinton J. Hill, also his older brother, Roger C. Hill and his wife, Betsy Blake Hill.
Tom is survived by his sisters: Nancy (Dave) Willetts and Leanne Reynolds; his children: Jason (Candace) Hill and Kristi (Bob) Lindemann; his grandchildren: Rachael Hill, Ayana Hill, Raven Hill, Brittany Hill, Morgan Lindemann and Robby Lindemann; and great grandchildren: Caleb, Isaac, Aidan and Arya. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Tom is also survived by a very special, loving friend and family, Sharon Gardner and the Gardner family.
Tom graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1962. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and received an honorable discharge in 1966. He went on to employment with different companies, spending the most time with NAPA Auto Parts for 30+ years. He was on the White Rock Cemetery Board, President of the Lions Club, a member of the American Legion and was active in local AA groups helping others.
He was an avid reader. Tom loved woodworking, golfing with his Napa friends, tending to his yard, traveling, camping and spending time with loved ones. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rochelle, where he enjoyed volunteering and serving as an usher, especially the times he got to wear his military uniform.
Tom was a resident of Rochelle, IL, and a good neighbor. He was thoughtful, well respected and will leave a void in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
