Anthony B "Tony" Parks, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his home. Tony was born September 12, 1945 to Russell T. and Anna K. (Miller) Parks in Danville, Virginia. He married Madlyn J. Coil on April 5, 1975 in Rochelle, IL. He proudly served our nation during the Vietnam War with the United States Navy. Tony worked for Anchor Company, Inc. for 25 years. He was a life member of Amvets, past Commander for 15 years of the American Legion Post 497 and a member of the Dixon V.F.W. Post 540. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell and sister, Ethel "Lou" Louise Lewis.

Tony is survived by his wife, Madlyn, two sons: Jason (Tina) Parks and Anthony (Jamie) Parks both of Franklin Grove, IL; mother, Anna Parks of Batesville, AR, three brothers: Tad Parks of Milwaukee, WI, Joe Parks of Batesville, AR and Tom (Wanda) Parks of Jacksonville, AR; two sisters: Betsy (Harold) Scott of Kansas City, MO, and Jackie (Gary) Hinderks of Liberty, MO; mother-in-law, Berta Peters, uncle, Harold Miller, six grandchildren: Gage Parks, Zachary Parks, Jacob Parks, Samantha Parks, Scott (Christine) Bass and Matthew Bass and five great-grandchildren: Christian Bass, Hannah Bass, Makayla Bass, Emma Bass and Lilly Bass.

The funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Molly Bowen officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 16 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Franklin Grove Cemetery in Franklin Grove with military honors provided by the Dixon Combined Veterans Group.
