Obituary
Virgil L. Butler, 95 of Rochelle, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Rochelle Gardens in
Rochelle. He was born on Nov. 26, 1915 in Wayne Co., IL to Frank and Sara Naomi (Darr) Butler. Virgil married Emeline Taylor on Nov. 17, 1937 in Creston, IL and she preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 1994. He was also preceded in death by his son: Richard on Jan. 2, 2006; by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He farmed for DelMonte Corp for 38 years and retired in 1980.
Survivors include grandchildren: Randy (Sally) Butler and Pamala (Tom) Lampley both of Rochelle; 2 sisters: Mary Cooper of Chilicothe, IL and Jewel Deissler of Peoria, IL; 4 great grandchildren: Josh Lampley, Jaime Lampley, Brandi (Jeff) Casey and Brandon Butler; great great grandchildren: Arianna Lampley and Madess Mitchell.
Services will be held at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, IL on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens. A Memorial has been established.
