Virginia J. Hickerson, 75, of Rochelle, IL passed away Sat. Jan. 15, 2011 at Our Lady Of Angels in Joliet, IL. Virginia was born Dec. 5, 1935 in Charelvoix County, MI. The daughter of Harold and Winifred (Smith) Argetsinger. On Jan. 28, 1978 she married Roger K. Hickerson in Rockton IL. Roger preceded her on June 3, 2006. Virginia was a realtor and co-owner of Century 21 in Rochelle. Virginia enjoyed bridge, reading, golfing and poker with family and friends. She served on the Board of Directors for Hope as Vice President, and was also Past Treasurer of Rochelle Home Guide.
Virginia was preceded by her beloved husband Roger; son: Michael "Chip" Brady; sister Judy Norman and father-in-law Richard Hickerson.

She is survived by a daughter Patricia (Paul) Costion of Joliet, IL, grandson Michael and Kyle Easter. Mother-in-law: Olive Hickerson of Rochelle, sister-in-laws Carolyn (Jon) Bieck, and Joanne Coan; nieces Marilyn Bucher, Debbie Herzog, and Stacy McGinnis; great nieces Meghan Herzog and Cierra McGinnis. Three brothers Richard (Dondi) Voss, Jim Argetsinger, and Steve Voss. Two sisters Bev (Lynn) Eppey and Carol Argetsinger.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Hoffmann. Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle.
Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice, HOPE of Rochelle, and the National Association for Downs Syndrome.
Burial will be in Lawnridge Cemetery.
