Obituary
Virginia Blanche Overbey, 93 of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009 at her home
in Rochelle. She was born on Jan. 25, 1916 in Wayne City, IL, to John and Belle (Stroud)
Kittle. Blanche married Arthur Ray Overbey and he preceded her on April 9,1990. She was also
preceded by 2 sisters: Nora and Edna; 4 brothers: Earl, Elmer, Everett, and Glenn.
Blanche was a cook and worked for the Market Basket Deli and the Rochelle Elementary School
District 231. Memberships include Salome Chapter Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron, Ladies of the Moose, and VFW Post 3878 Auxiliary and served as past President and past 6th District
President.
Survivors include son: Norman of Rochelle; close friend: Ginger Kosabud of Rocelle;
3 nephews that were raised in her parents home: Jerald Lowery, Everett Kittle and Dale Kittle and niece: Carolyn Dickens.

at 1:00 PM. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM Friday, Oct. 30th.
Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery. Memorials to VFW Post 3878 or the American Cancer Society.
