Obituary

Virginia Barbara Schultz, age 92, of Rochelle, Illinois passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Hales Corners, Wisconsin on December 5, 2020. Born on May 29, 1928 to Michael Cpleis and Anna Walouskiti. She grew up as a huge Chicago Cubs fan and continued that throughout her last days. On May 14, 1949 she married the love of her life, Roy John Schultz, Sr. and they began their beautiful journey of nearly 47 years.

Virginia worked as a coil winder, a school bus driver, a Stanley dealer, a newspaper inserter at Rochelle News Leader and her last job for 15 years, until she was 87, was doing food prep and service for Lifescape at the Hub City Senior Center in Rochelle. She loved her family, her pets, her friends and bowling. Virginia was a selfless giver, always there to help with a smile on her face. She was a rare combination of kindness and toughness. We are all so proud of her for all she's done for so many in her lifetime. We couldn't have had a better mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is preceded into death by her husband, Roy, and brothers: Chuck Erbon and Frank Ceplawskes. She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Dodrill (Bob Williams) and Jan Schmidt (Jeff Henry); her son, Roy Schultz, Jr.; son-in-law, Greg Schmidt; two grandchildren: Brandon Dodrill and Barbara (TR) Thompson; step grandchild, Bryanna Henry; four great grandchildren: Makayla Dodrill, Arianna Thompson, Danica Thompson and Callen Dodrill; step great grandchild, Hayley Thompson; along with many other nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

Due to COVID restrictions, we are limited to a private, immediate family only viewing and service at UNGER HORNER FUNERAL HOME – 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, IL 61068 from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Friday, December 18, 2020. She will be cremated and buried beside her husband sometime in 2021. When it is safe to do so, we will have a life celebration in Rochelle, IL for all that want to come. You can view a livestream of the service at 4:00pm central time on the Unger Horner Funeral Home Facebook page.
