Vivian F. Watson, 79, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012, in her daughter's home in Ashton, IL after a long illness.
Vivian was born June 26, 1933, in Rochelle, the daughter of Luther and Ruth Austin. She was married to Johnny Watson on November 22, 1952 in Oregon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny on June 12, 2006, son: David "Genie" Wares; brothers, Luther Austin Jr., Robert Austin and sisters, Dorothy Oleson, Doris Oleson and Betty Beck.
She is survived by son David (Karen) Watson, Hoffman Estates, grandson Brian Watson, Washington DC; daughter Cheryl (Harold Jr.) Ebens, Ashton, granddaughter Dr. Christen Ebens, Livonia, MI, and grandsons Chet Ebens, Atlanta, GA and Scott Ebens, Dixon, IL.
Vivian grew up living in close proximity to her siblings and their families which she treasured. She loved being a grandmother and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. In recent years, she particularly enjoyed coffee and outings "with the girls."
Vivian retired from Eaton's Corporation of Rochelle in the late 80's. Previous employers included The Furniture Factory of Rochelle and Edelmann's of Dixon.
Her family wishes to express their appreciation for the cards, phone calls and visits from family, friends and clergy throughout her illness. Each brightened her day.
Private services will precede interment at Lawnridge Cemetery.
