Mt. Morris

Walter Dale Coil, 52, of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He was born April 24, 1972, in Rochelle, IL, the son of Walter Eugene and Roxanne (Davis) Coil.

Dale worked at Quebecor Printing in Mt. Morris until the plant closed. He then worked for Graphic Arts Express before finishing his career at Raynor Garage Doors. Dale loved to work on his cars and lawn mowers. He could often be found attending estate sales and garage sales.

Dale is survived by his father, Walter Eugene Coil; niece, Heather (Shawn) Britton and their five children; paternal grandmother, Arlene Davis; maternal grandmother, Berta Peters; and a special friend, Virginia Gouker.

Dale is preceded in death by his mother, Roxanne Coil; a brother, Jeremy Scott Coil; paternal grandfather, James Coil; and maternal grandfather, Glen Davis.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, in Rochelle with Pastor Michael Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
