Wilbert Frederick Felgenhauer, 90, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Rochelle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Rochelle. Wilbert was born March 8, 1923 to August and Martha (Dilling) Felgenhauer in Rochelle. He was an Army veteran; serving our country for 2 years. He farmed in the Rochelle area most all of his life. Wilbert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. He was a well respected pianist and organist in the Rochelle and surrounding area, playing for numerous weddings and funerals through out the years. As an avid rail fan, he enjoyed visiting the Rochelle Train Park and traveled by train whenever he could do so. He was preceded in death by his parents. Wilbert is survived by his sister, Viola Lindquist, of Rochelle and two nephews: John and Dick Lindquist both of Rochelle.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1415 10th Ave., Rochelle. The visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:45 prior to the funeral at the church. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to Radio Broadcast or to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
