Willard Rosenwinkel 87 of Lee, IL died Thursday March 1, 2012 in Heritage Health in Mendota, IL. He was born August 1, 1924 in Bloomingdale, IL the son of Ernst and Martha Edeker Rosenwinkel.
Preceded by parents and 2 brothers Harvey and Ralph.

He was a U.S. Marine during WW II receiving a Purple Heart and becoming disabled during his term in the service. He was an area farmer in Lee County for many years.

Survived by a brother Edward Rosenwinkel of Paw Paw, IL; sister-in-laws; Ruth Rosenwinkel of Bartlett, IL and Janet Rosenwinkel of Yorkville, IL; and several nieces and nephews; Marlene (Jim) Palmer of Bartlett, IL, Kenneth (JoAnn)Rosenwinkel of Plano, IL and Cheryl (Gerry) Healey of Yorkville, IL., Mark (Gayle) Rosenwinkel of Rochelle, IL, Eric (Kate) Rosenwinkel of South Beloit, IL, and Curt (Maureen) Rosenwinkel of Rolling Meadows, IL.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 P.M. Sunday March 4, 2012 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to service time at 5 P.M.

Burial with Military rites will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, IL on Monday at 1:00 P.M. Memorial fund is being established.
