William "Bill" Cody Weeks, 90, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his home. Bill was born October 11, 1925 to John William and Ellen (Johnson) Weeks in Malta, Illinois. On November 13, 1948, he married Patricia Cote` in Oregon, IL. She passed away on May 7, 1974. He then married Ardis Davidson on June 9, 1984. In 1952, Bill was approached by Smith Oil Company out of Rockford to open up Weeks Goodyear Service in Rochelle. This proposal proved to be a long, successful and lucrative opportunity for him.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Ardis, on November 6, 1999; his brothers: Bob and John; sister, Anna Belle Weeks and his son-in-law, Richard "Dick" Anderson.

He is survived by three children: William Weeks II, Antonia "Toni" (Larry Ebker) Weeks both of Rochelle and Amelia (Chris) Anderson McNeely of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren: Jaime (Sam) Sitzman of Denver, CO, Christopher Hartman of AZ, William Richard (Amanda Raby) Anderson, Rocky (Angie) Anderson and Starr (Travis Rozell) Anderson all three of Springfield, MO; three great-grandchildren: Layla and Zoe Hartman and Thor Anderson; two brothers: Victor Smith of Stillman Valley and Frank (Betsy) Smith of Rochelle and sister, Betty (Jason) Diedrich of Stillman Valley and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Rev. Dr. James Tilley officiating. The visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 3 at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 7:00. Burial will follow the service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
