William "Bill" D. Ramsey, 86, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Rockford, Illinois. Bill was born October 20, 1928 to John and Edna (Gibbs) Ramsey in Russellville, Kentucky. He married Wilma Jeanette Bates on September 26, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Rochelle, IL. He worked as a printing pressman at Rochelle Printing for 39 years, retiring in 1994.

He was preceded by his parents, son, William Michael Ramsey in 1982, two brothers: Tom Ramsey and Frank Ramsey and his sister, Mary Magargie.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Wilma, his son, Roger Ramsey of Rochelle, daughter, Ruth (Daniel) Zissler of Peru, IL, two brothers: Ed (Debbie) Ramsey of Rochelle, Richard (Mary) Ramsey of Rockford, IL, five grandchildren: Heather (Scott) Hatfield, Amanda (Jose Belmonte) Ramsey, Jordan (Trey Breaux) Ramsey, Michael Ramsey and Ashley (Vincent Walker) Zissler; two step-grandchildren: Kerelyn Sarmiento and Keelyn Sarmiento and eight great-grandchildren: Macy Belmonte, Emma Belmonte, Zaryck Bogan, Camron Bogan, Jazarion Breaux, Caden Hatfield and two great grandsons on the way, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Chaplain Judy Williams.
