WILLIAM R. 'BILL' DAUB (DAUBER), 75 – ROCHELLE
William R. 'Bill' Daub (Dauber), 75 of Rochelle died Sunday, February 24, 2008, in St. Anthony's Hospital after complications from an abdominal surgery. Born March 30, 1932, in Rochelle, IL. son of Floyd E. and Corinne E. (Reed) Daub. Married Beulah 'Bea' Payne the true love of his life, which he now joins for the rest of eternity. Bea died Sept. 14, 1981, also preceded in death his parents. He attended Northern Illinois University, then owned and operated 'Dauber Shoe Repair'. Bill also worked for Caron Int. and the City of Rochelle. Bill was a past Master for the Masonic Lodge 244. Survivors include sons, Brian R. Daub of DelRay Beach, FL, Bill T. Daub, of Rochelle, Bruce P. (Debbie) Daub, of Louden, TN, daughters Betsy M. (Jim) Smith, of Lindenwood, IL, Barbara J. (Derrick) Meyers, of Chana, IL. His most treasured gifts his grandchildren; Allison, Jordan, Amanda, Brady, Eric, Alex, Jake, Jessie and Erin. Brothers; Floyd (Audrey) Daub, of Milledgeville, IL, Darrell (Linda) Daub, of Chana, IL. Sister-in-laws; Fern Andrews of Des Moines, IA and Shirley Payne of Henderson, NC, and many loved nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the nurses and CNA's in the CCC at St. Anthony's for your compassionate care you gave our dad for the last 44 days.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rochelle United Methodist Church, Rochelle with Rev. Brett Todd officiating. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M with a Masonic Service at 8:00 PM. A memorial has been established. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.
